My name is Don Gasseling and I am a farmer. I've always dreamed a being a good golfer but never had the time to get to the golf course and practice besides being embarrassed to hit the ball. In 1998 I came up with a golf practice device that I could use in my own backyard. It showed me how to use the proper swing in hitting a golf ball. I also wanted to beat my buddies on the golf course. After much practice I lowered my score by 20 strokes. If I'd have had my putting down I really would have lower my score.I thought I might have something so I contacted a patent attorney and they thought I had a great product and wanted one right then. This was in the spring of 2000. I had to make a few adjustments and my patent was approved on the first go around. This usually takes 3 to 4 years. In February of 2002 I was granted my patent. Then we had to a search for a name. The one's that we wanted were taken. This took about 6 months. I finally came up with the name SwingString and now we are ready to market our product. It certainly took a long time, but I really am a better golfer. You can have the best set of golf clubs available but if you don't know the proper swing it really doesn't matter about the clubs. If everyone had the SwingString, which can be used almost anyplace, you have a chance to practice when you want and where you want without being embarrassed. SwingString shows you if you are hitting the ball correctly. I also liked the fact that I am getting exercise at the same time. By hitting the ball and walking to hit it back, I also get a workout. I can also practice with both woods and my irons. It's a privileged to be able to have the SwingString being hit to benefit CF. We had a friend who's daughter died when she was 8 of the disease. That was a long time ago and I know many things have been improved since then but if we could find a cure that would be even better. Now I go out and hit the SwingString every chance I get. I'm looking forward to beating my buddies this summer. I will be 60 pretty soon and if I can improve my game anybody can. It just takes practice.
